The Witch Part 1: The Subversion is a 2018 South Korean mystery action film directed by Park Hoon-Jung and stars Kim Da Mi, Jo Min Soo, and Choi Woo Shik❤.
A young girl is found by an old couple and raised in a small farming town. Their simple life is turned upside down when a group of dangerous and mysterious people come to find her and take her back to a government facility where she escaped from ten years ago.
This is one of those movies where you're sitting there biting your nails and wondering what's going to happen next. There is a big secret surrounding the main character Koo Ja-Yoon. Who is she and why does she have powers that her adoptive parents are apprehensive about her showing? I'm usually good at figuring out what is going to happen next in a movie since I've seen so many and they usually fit certain patterns, but this one has a good twist!

Creep 2 (2017)
Description:
Creep 2 is a 2017 found footage sequel that is directed by Patrick Brice and stars Mark Duplass once again as the eccentric killer.
This time, a woman named Sara answers his Craiglist ad in order to take more risks and get higher views on her channel online.
Review:
I enjoyed the first Creep movie, but this one was drawn out and filled with cheap and overused jump scares.
The first film had an interesting plot where you feel like you're going on a scary journey with a man named Aaron and you don't know if he should trust Josef or not.
In this movie, we already know Josef is a killer and he is now calling himself Aaron. This solidifies the fact that he is also a liar, so when he meets Sara online, we already know she is in trouble.
The new mystery becomes Sara. She makes Youtube videos and agrees to meet "Aaron" ever though SHE KNOWS he seems dangerous but she wants... more views on her videos... Sadly, this is a reality for some people on Youtube who do extreme stunts in order to become more popular online and make money.
In this movie, Aaron tells her he is a killer right away. She sees all the red flags... BUT SHE STAYS AND CONTINUES TO FILM HIM.
I understand this is a dark comedy/horror, but that doesn't mean they have to make their characters unbelievably illogical. In the third act, Sara confesses that she doesn't believe he is a killer... even though he showed her a video of himself killing someone and going into detail multiple times explaining how he murdered people.
Even when he tells her he is going to kill HER, she tries to act as though she isn't scared and tries scaring him instead... don't waste your time doing that when YOU SHOULD BE RUNNING AWAY!
I was hoping there would be a twist near the end since Sara seemed so unphased about him being completely insane around her and even she showed some insanity. Why not call the police? Run away when she had multiple chances to leave? Is she a killer? Honestly, this movie made me more perplexed and angry than anything else. I've never used so many caps in a review before.
To sum up, I didn't enjoy this one. It was like I fell down the weird side of Youtube and found these two manipulative sociopaths vlogging their lives. A lot of the scenes seemed adlibbed and unimportant.
We already know the killer is an oddball. In the first movie, they had a good balance of horror and comedy. The comedy or his oddball moments in this one seemed too forced and frequent.
I wished they would have gone down an "apprentice" road at least like Amanda in Saw III, or tried a different location so it didn't feel like the first one as much. Also would have been cool if Sara was really a detective, pretending to be a Youtuber in order to finally catch the killer.
Anywho, I wouldn't recommend this one.
