The Witch Part 1: The Subversion is a 2018 South Korean mystery action film directed by Park Hoon-Jung and stars Kim Da Mi, Jo Min Soo, and Choi Woo Shik❤.
A young girl is found by an old couple and raised in a small farming town. Their simple life is turned upside down when a group of dangerous and mysterious people come to find her and take her back to a government facility where she escaped from ten years ago.
This is one of those movies where you're sitting there biting your nails and wondering what's going to happen next. There is a big secret surrounding the main character Koo Ja-Yoon. Who is she and why does she have powers that her adoptive parents are apprehensive about her showing? I'm usually good at figuring out what is going to happen next in a movie since I've seen so many and they usually fit certain patterns, but this one has a good twist!

Train to Busan (2016)
Description:
Train to Busan is a 2016 Korean zombie horror film. Starring Gong Yoo (plays Seok Woo) and Ma Dong-seok (Sang Hwa). Seok Woo is a distant father and fund manager who takes his young daughter on the train to visit her mother (his ex-wife) for her birthday. Then zombies happen...
Review:
Seok Woo is a character who puts money and himself before anyone else. I loved that he was someone no one liked, but his daughter was the complete opposite of him. Right away I cared about the characters.
They were three-dimensional, which is unfortunately rare these days, and my heart was pounding the whole time while everyone was in danger.
Sang Hwa was a badass. The dynamic between him and Seok Woo was amazing and it was great to see the character development as the movie progressed.
The zombies were scary because they could run like in 28 Days Later, and the movie had a claustrophobic feeling since the passengers in the train were stuck with the zombies and they couldn't get out.
Some scenes were predictable, but overall I loved the film and I would definitely watch it again. I highly recommend checking it out.
