The Witch Part 1: The Subversion is a 2018 South Korean mystery action film directed by Park Hoon-Jung and stars Kim Da Mi, Jo Min Soo, and Choi Woo Shik❤.
A young girl is found by an old couple and raised in a small farming town. Their simple life is turned upside down when a group of dangerous and mysterious people come to find her and take her back to a government facility where she escaped from ten years ago.
This is one of those movies where you're sitting there biting your nails and wondering what's going to happen next. There is a big secret surrounding the main character Koo Ja-Yoon. Who is she and why does she have powers that her adoptive parents are apprehensive about her showing? I'm usually good at figuring out what is going to happen next in a movie since I've seen so many and they usually fit certain patterns, but this one has a good twist!

Review:
Same story, different victims.
Same story, different victims.
Jason is back once again along with more annoying teens who love weed and decide to have sex at the infamous Camp Crystal Lake. I like the idea of someone trying to find their missing sister, but other than that it was just another Jason film. Right away you know who's going to live. You know who's going to die
The only minor thing that changed was that Jason ran after people instead of his iconic slow walk. If Jared Padalecki wasn't in this movie then I would have lost all interest. The characters were boring and one dimensional. Jenna's boyfriend in the movie sleeps with her friend and she doesn't even seem to care or notice.
Every scene I thought "here we go again." There was some horrible dialogue and the use of sex was over the top. The camera work was a bit shaky at the beginning and I wasn't frightened at all.
This didn't feel fresh and new, it felt boring and recycled. You don't need to watch this movie. It doesn't do much for the franchise and it's not scary. This is my first and last viewing.
