The Witch Part 1: The Subversion is a 2018 South Korean mystery action film directed by Park Hoon-Jung and stars Kim Da Mi, Jo Min Soo, and Choi Woo Shik❤.
A young girl is found by an old couple and raised in a small farming town. Their simple life is turned upside down when a group of dangerous and mysterious people come to find her and take her back to a government facility where she escaped from ten years ago.
This is one of those movies where you're sitting there biting your nails and wondering what's going to happen next. There is a big secret surrounding the main character Koo Ja-Yoon. Who is she and why does she have powers that her adoptive parents are apprehensive about her showing? I'm usually good at figuring out what is going to happen next in a movie since I've seen so many and they usually fit certain patterns, but this one has a good twist!

Halloween: Resurrection (2002)
Description:
Halloween: Resurrection is the 8th movie in the franchise and it's directed by Rick Rosenthal (also directed Halloween II (1981)).
Freddie (Busta Rhymes) hires a group of people to participate in a reality show on Halloween where they film themselves going through Micheal Myer's childhood house.
Review:
This has to be the worst Micheal Myers film of all time.
Laurie is alive in this one! Well, mostly to be killed off so she wouldn't have to be in these movies anymore (so glad she agreed to be in the 2018 Halloween!). It also felt like they used Laurie just to have at least one character that was tied to Micheal Myers.
The other characters included Busta Rhymes and Tyra Banks... because that makes sense, right? I think Busta Rhymes only agreed to do this movie if he could swear at Micheal the entire time and kick his ass with kung-fu moves (because that also makes sense...)
The rest of the characters were pretty useless and uninteresting. This includes Sara (Bianca Kajlich), who is supposed to be the main character. Unfortunately, I felt no connection or care for her or any of the characters. It didn't help that most of the movie looked like it was being filmed on a potato, the acting was horrible and the dialogue was dull.
There's a scene in this movie where Tyra Banks is painfully oblivious to the fact that someone is dying on a camera in front of her. While that person is dying, she is dancing around the room while making a drink and covering it with copious amounts of whipped cream. Relatable? Kind of, but no. Just stop.
Taking everything into account, this movie is trying to be a commentary about reality tv and fame versus what is actually real and how far people will go for ratings and money. It wasn't scary and it felt like a complete waste of time.
Ironically it seemed like the whole movie used Micheal Myers as a money grab with random actors people might have been interested in during the early 2000s.
There was even a catfishing subplot and Sara, the "main character", didn't even fulfill the "survivor girl" role since Busta Rhymes ended up taking over the whole movie and hauling her ass out at the end.
Would I recommend this movie? Absolutely not. Please don't waste your time because it wasn't even "this is so bad it's good." It was just bad.
