The Witch Part 1: The Subversion is a 2018 South Korean mystery action film directed by Park Hoon-Jung and stars Kim Da Mi, Jo Min Soo, and Choi Woo Shik❤.
A young girl is found by an old couple and raised in a small farming town. Their simple life is turned upside down when a group of dangerous and mysterious people come to find her and take her back to a government facility where she escaped from ten years ago.
This is one of those movies where you're sitting there biting your nails and wondering what's going to happen next. There is a big secret surrounding the main character Koo Ja-Yoon. Who is she and why does she have powers that her adoptive parents are apprehensive about her showing? I'm usually good at figuring out what is going to happen next in a movie since I've seen so many and they usually fit certain patterns, but this one has a good twist!

Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989)
Description:
The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989) is the 5th Halloween movie in the franchise and it's directed by Dominique Othenin-Girard.
This film continues from the events of The Return of Michael Myers (1988). Michael Myers returns to his hometown where he plans to kill his niece Jamie (Danielle Harris) and anyone who gets in his way.
Review:
Right from the beginning, it's apparent the plot was going to be ridiculous and the acting was going to be bad.
There's a crazy gun scene opening where the police think they have killed Michael Myers, but really he is hilariously floating around in the water and being saved by a homeless man.
I liked the way this one was filmed, but the acting and plot didn't hold everything together. Every moment felt over the top.
Even though Jamie's character was always frantic and scared, she was the only believable character. Her sister's friends reminded me of the annoying characters from Rob Zombie's version of Halloween (and I guess most idiotic horror characters).
Jamie's friend Tina had SO MANY chances to survive. The police basically drive her to danger and she constantly ignores Jamie's warnings. Honestly, I'm surprised she lasted as long as she did. I thought there would be more of a plot for Jamie's sister, but she was as clueless as Tina.
Another thing that didn't sit well with me was Dr. Loomis's relationship with Jamie. Dr. L's main purpose is to defeat Michael Myers (even though we all know Michael NEVER dies). He manipulates Jamie the entire time just to get close to Michael (obviously that's not gonna end well).
The entire time I wasn't scared, but I felt bad for Jamie's character having to be traumatized over and over again. When all is said and done, this movie wasn't completely horrible (unfortunately I've seen a lot worse) but I don't support viewing this. The sound effects are absurd, the plot felt rushed, and everything was TOO unrealistic.
